Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026. Written in plain language — no legal fog.

The short version: ThumbnailsFast does not collect your personal data, does not store the URLs you search for, and does not require you to create an account. The tool works entirely within your browser session.

1. What We Collect

Nothing you type into the tool. The YouTube URL you paste is processed entirely in your browser via JavaScript. It is never sent to our servers. Your browser fetches the thumbnail images directly from YouTube's own CDN (img.youtube.com).

Standard server logs. Like all websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic connection data: your IP address, the page URL requested, your browser type, and the timestamp of the request. These logs exist for security purposes and are not tied to your search activity within the tool.

No cookies for tracking. We do not set advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting scripts. We do use a single localStorage value to remember your dark/light mode preference — this stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

2. How Thumbnails Are Fetched

When you use ThumbnailsFast, your browser constructs a thumbnail URL using the video ID extracted from your input and then makes a direct request to img.youtube.com — the same server YouTube itself uses to display thumbnails. ThumbnailsFast acts as the interface, not the intermediary. We never see or store the thumbnail images you access.

3. Third-Party Services

Google Fonts. We load the Inter typeface from Google Fonts. This causes your browser to make a request to Google's servers, which may log your IP address per Google's own privacy policy.

YouTube CDN. Thumbnail images are served from img.youtube.com. Your request to that server is subject to Google's privacy policy.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other behavioral tracking service.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

ThumbnailsFast uses one localStorage item: theme, which stores either "light" or "dark" to preserve your display preference between visits. This value never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for thumbnailsfast.pro.

5. Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data tied to an identity, there is no profile to access, correct, or delete. If you submitted a contact form message and want it removed, email us at contact@thumbnailsfast.pro and we will delete it within 7 days.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes — for example, if we add analytics or a user account system — we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and add a visible notice on the homepage for 30 days.
